The only reason I did not give them 5 stars is because I am not a Bliss fan and this book did not make me into one. It's a well written, thoughtful book that if you have read Jamie's Last Rider books provides insight into one of her most hated characters. I feel that is an accurate description of how most readers feel about Bliss. Not everyone, but most. I am not a Bliss hater, but I do not care for her and would have been just as happy had she disappeared into the night.Having said that, I feel Jamie did a fantastic job of explaining Bliss's past, her reasons for acting and treating others the way she does. For some readers it will be enough to change their opinions of Bliss. Regardless of how you feel about Bliss it was nice to get her 'out of the way' for future books, the one's so many of us are anticipating. She has her new life, we got to get a glimpse into some characters and possibilities that will hopefully be coming up soon. The glimpses into TLR and BB's as well as the Penni and Jackal teaser are worth reading the book alone!It really was a good story, a little quick, but it was supposed to be a novella and was extended. I would not have minded had it been longer. And that perhaps is the greatest compliment I can give a book. : ) As with all of Jamie's books, if you have not read the others I suggest reading them in order.
I know a lot of Last Riders fans were not thrilled that this book was about Bliss. I, on the other hand, am just such a fan of Jamie Begley that I don't care who she writes about. If she writes it, I'll read it. Besides, you have to know that if she dedicated a book to her story then Bliss will somehow redeem herself. She actually stays pretty true to herself throughout the book. She's not the most friendly character but you find out why she is the way she is. She's got some issues but to her credit she's not a sniveling, weepy, hot mess. I will admit that I got misty eyed on a couple of occasions. Overall, it's a good story but I think it's misnamed. It seems more Last Rider's than Biker Bitches but you can't go wrong with either.
Book 3 in the Biker Bitches series, also a part of The Last Riders series.This was a fantastic book to read. Lots of questions answered for me and also making up for what happened in the last book. So glad it was more than a Novella.Bliss is out of the Last Riders club house and in the same position she always ends up in - alone. The fear of being alone has made Bliss try to hold on to the people she thinks can and did protect her. Now she feels like no one is there for her, and that all she is though of is as a sl**.Drake has always had an eye for Bliss, but the things he has heard about the clubhouse and how the women live has stopped anything from happening. True to Porter ways though, he never will give up, and when a chance meeting with Bliss gives him the information he is looking for, you sit back and watch how Drake has gotten where he is today.Bliss always thought she loved Shade, but what Shade really does for his friends is proven again in this book. He has eyes everywhere and knows just the right thing to do.

When you add in an unexpected local bad boy, Drake Hall things are really going to sizzle with sexual tension and heated dialogue.Her life had been filled with betrayals, people using her for their own purposes and no one that really cared enough to protect her. Everything changed for Bliss when she was rescued from her living nightmare by the Last Riders MC. They gave her a home, protection and safety, well until she couldn’t contain her inner bitch. Now Bliss finds herself on her own again, without the club’s support. It’s only a matter of time until her past catches up with her again. When an extremely sexy male steps in and lays his claim, she doesn’t believe that anything good could happen to her! Can this be real, is he real?He has watched her from afar because she belonged to the Last Riders MC, but now all bets are off since she left the club. Drake is not about to stop until Bliss belongs to him, after all he is a Porter. However, he is finding it is difficult getting Bliss to accept him and the protection he is offering. Is she still yearning for the club? This is the season for miracles, so maybe there is one for him and Bliss.When I started this book, my perception of Bliss was such that I really hesitated to read this book. However, I really love Jamie Begley and have never been disappointed with any of her books. As I read this story, it impressed me with the depth each character and the development of the storyline. By the end of the book, I fell in love with Bliss and Drake! Fantastic addition to my library.
