Like most Dummies book I have read this one is useful. It will not take the place of taking lessons with an instructor. It is worth reading as it cleared up some things I did know I had wrong. It also helped me understand things I do with my instructor. This book is not going to teach you to play the trumpet on you own. It will help when you take lessons.
Like most dummy books, it takes the reader from raw basics to being a competent player and beyond. It adds techniques to put pazzaz to trumpet playing.
I got this for my grandson, but he says it's useful and informative, so it gets five stars from me!

The book is great, received on time and in good shape. The only problem is I put the CD on my Cd player and it does not work.
The Dummies book are the best and the Trumpet book is no different. It's great. Thank you!
