If you can handle dark elements I highly suggest this book, because Drake is such a contradiction to himself. He's ruthless, and cold, but at the same time he somehow managed to hold on to the smallest bit of his morality that let's him feel for Caia, and what she going through. What she has to endure in her "training" sessions.“You’re broken, aren’t you?â€â€œI’m not broken, little bird,†I tell her. “You’d have to be whole before you can break.â€There's more to him than meets the eye. When it comes to Caia, she's a spitfire of a thing. Reminds me of the saying, "I may be tiny, but I am fierce." And boy is she. As she needs to be. She gains respect quickly for her strength. This book is absolutely amazing, and fills my dark little heart with joy. If you love the dark books as much as me you will love this one. A prequel to a Dark tale by Dani Rene. And it is defiitly dark and gruesome, so it might not be to everyone taste, but if you like dark book then you will love this book.It set the stage for the story and introduces the characters. Drake has seen and done things no kid should ever seen. That changed him and he believes there is no good in him left. he is just dark and empty. He doesn’t care about everyone apart from his brother and best friend.Caia is taken and thrown in hell, but is strong, She doesn’t give, but will that be enough?Make sure you have something to cuddle while reading. I look forward to the next book
I'm blown away by this story. The dark content, is perfectly dark. It's gruesome and gory details, is good and not for everyone. I love that it's the beginning of a new book to come.Stolen -The Prequel is about Drake and Caia and how they intermingled with each other. They struggle with the choices and situations that are being made to and for them.This book is a gut wrenching read. It will have you gasping for air at all the situations.
I did like the taboo and darkness of the story however it was hard for me to feel and understand the connection between the two main characters and that threw me off.
Wow! I believe this is the darkest book I have ever read, and I have read a lot of them. His is very dark, very sadistic, and intense! Don’t read this book if you have any triggers. I think I may need to read something with hearts and flowers now, lol.*Magic Beyond The Covers Book Blog*
Such a twisted read - I loved every minute of it! It kept me up far too late reading, which is the sign of an excellent book. Highly recommend for lovers of dark romance with suspenseful elements.
Nothing was developed, story or characters and it was very disappointing. I bought the next book to try and gain some background but I can't make it through the first few chapters because I'm worried I'll waste my time like I did on the first story. Disappointing because this had the possibility of going somewhere. Lots of questions and none answered, maybe in the next book but the lack of development in this book made me not want to read the next book.
Stolen was intense and heartbreaking. I am going to have to read the next one to find out what happened at the end there but otherwise the story was well written.
